CoolSculpting, CoolPetite and CoolMini: A solution for small stubborn areas of fat

By Dr. TRACY MOUNTFORD, MBBS MBCAM

In this week’s Q&A, our London CoolSculpting Specialist Magda talks through the latest and smallest CoolSculpting applicators and how effective they are in treating troublesome pockets of fat around the body.

CoolSculpting is the only FDA-cleared non-surgical fat-freezing treatment that eliminates unwanted areas of body fat with lasting results.

The smallest and latest applicators from Coolsculpting and the areas that they treat:

First up is the CoolAdvantage Petite. This applicator is perfect for treating the upper arm more commonly known as ‘bingo wings’. It has been specifically designed with two interchangeable contours which safely and effectively treat the unique shape of the upper arms and the fat on the inner thighs. It can also be used to treat the abdomen and flanks of smaller framed, more petite patients.

Next is the CoolMini. The Cosmetic Skin Clinic was the first clinic in the UK to offer the CoolMini treatment, It has been specifically designed to treat smaller pockets of fat, such as the double chin (submental fat) and is also small enough to treat the inner arm bra fat (axillary puff).

Is there any downtime with these new applicators?

Usually, there is little to no downtime with these treatments and most patients can return to their normal activities right away. Results may be seen as quickly as four to six weeks after treatment, but the most dramatic results occur after 12-14 weeks. However, the body will continue to flush out fat cells for up to six months following treatment.

We have multiple machines in all our locations which means we can treat two or three areas in a single session. For example, in just one 35 minute session, we could treat flanks and the inner thigh area.
