Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

As a focal feature of the face, the nose plays an important role in facial balance, profile and overall appearance. Even small changes to the bridge, tip or shape of the nose can make a noticeable difference to facial harmony.

At The Cosmetic Skin Clinic, we offer non-surgical rhinoplasty for patients who would like to reshape, smooth or refine the appearance of the nose without surgery. Often referred to as a non-surgical nose job or liquid rhinoplasty, this treatment uses carefully placed dermal filler to improve the appearance of selected nose concerns.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty may be suitable for patients who would like to smooth the appearance of a bump, improve symmetry, refine the nasal bridge, lift the tip or create a more balanced side profile. Unlike surgical rhinoplasty, it does not involve incisions, general anaesthetic or a lengthy recovery period.

This is a highly specialist injectable treatment that requires advanced knowledge of facial anatomy, product selection and safe injection technique. Your practitioner will assess your nose, profile and overall facial structure carefully before recommending whether non-surgical rhinoplasty is suitable for you.

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty is available at our London, Buckinghamshire, Northampton, Bournemouth and Lymington.

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

What can non-surgical rhinoplasty treat?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty can be used to improve selected cosmetic concerns affecting the shape, balance and profile of the nose.

It is important to understand that this treatment does not make the nose physically smaller or treat functional breathing concerns. Instead, it uses dermal filler to create the appearance of a smoother, straighter or more balanced nose.

Your practitioner may recommend non-surgical rhinoplasty to help with:

  • A visible bump on the nose bridge – Small amounts of dermal filler can be placed above and below a bump to create a smoother-looking nasal bridge. This can help the nose appear straighter from the side profile.
  • A slightly crooked or uneven nose – Where asymmetry is mild to moderate, carefully placed filler may help to improve the appearance of balance and alignment.
  • A drooping nasal tip – Filler can be used strategically to support and subtly lift the nasal tip. In some cases, this may be combined with anti-wrinkle injections where appropriate.
  • A flat or low nasal bridge – Non-surgical rhinoplasty can help to add subtle height and definition to the bridge of the nose, improving facial proportion and profile.
  • Post-surgical irregularities – For some patients who have previously had surgical rhinoplasty, filler may help to smooth small irregularities or refine the result. This will always require careful assessment by an experienced practitioner.
  • A lack of definition – Dermal filler can be used to create more definition in selected areas of the nose, helping to improve the overall shape while maintaining a natural-looking result.

Your practitioner will assess whether your concern can be treated safely and effectively with filler, or whether a surgical rhinoplasty consultation may be more appropriate.

What happens during non-surgical rhinoplasty?

Your treatment journey begins with a detailed consultation with one of our experienced medical practitioners.

During your consultation, your practitioner will assess your nose, facial profile and overall facial balance. They will discuss your concerns, explain what can realistically be achieved and advise whether non-surgical rhinoplasty is suitable for you.

If treatment is appropriate, your practitioner will create a bespoke treatment plan based on your anatomy and desired result. The aim is to make subtle, precise changes that improve the appearance of the nose while keeping the result natural and in harmony with your features.

On the day of treatment, the area will be cleansed and your practitioner will carefully place small amounts of hyaluronic acid dermal filler into targeted points of the nose. The filler is then shaped and positioned with precision to smooth, lift or refine the appearance of the nose.

Treatment is usually quick and well tolerated, and results are visible immediately. Mild swelling, tenderness or bruising may occur, but this usually settles over the following days.

Your practitioner will provide full aftercare advice and explain what to expect as your result settles.

The Pixie Lift: non-surgical nose tip lifting

The Pixie Lift is a non-surgical technique used to create a subtle lifting effect at the nasal tip.

For some patients, the tip of the nose may appear slightly downturned or less defined. By placing dermal filler carefully in selected areas, your practitioner can help to support and refine the nasal tip, creating a softer, more lifted-looking profile.

This treatment does not dramatically change the structure of the nose, and it is not a replacement for surgical rhinoplasty. Instead, it is designed for patients who want a subtle, natural-looking improvement without surgery or significant downtime.

The Pixie Lift may be suitable for patients with a mild to moderate tip droop, reduced definition or a nose shape that would benefit from careful refinement. Your practitioner will assess your anatomy and advise whether this technique is appropriate for you.

Can non-surgical rhinoplasty be combined with Botox?

In some cases, non-surgical rhinoplasty may be combined with anti-wrinkle injections to support a more refined result.

For patients whose nasal tip is pulled downwards by muscle activity, carefully placed Botox® may help to relax the muscle responsible for this movement. This can create a subtle lifting effect and may complement dermal filler placed in the bridge or tip of the nose.

This approach is not suitable for everyone. Your practitioner will assess your facial anatomy, muscle movement and treatment goals before recommending whether dermal filler alone or a combination approach would be most appropriate.

The aim is always to create a natural-looking result that improves facial balance without making the nose appear overfilled or exaggerated.

Who is suitable for non-surgical rhinoplasty?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty may be suitable for patients who would like to improve the appearance of the nose without surgery.

It may be considered for patients with a mild to moderate bump, a slightly uneven bridge, a drooping tip, a flat nasal bridge, minor asymmetry or selected post-surgical irregularities.

This treatment is best suited to patients who are looking for subtle refinement rather than a dramatic change. It can improve the appearance of shape, smoothness and profile, but it cannot reduce the physical size of the nose, narrow the nostrils or correct breathing problems.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty may not be suitable if you have significant structural concerns, severe asymmetry, functional breathing issues or if your goals would be better achieved with surgical rhinoplasty.

Your practitioner will assess your nose and facial profile carefully before advising whether this treatment is appropriate for you.

Benefits of non-surgical rhinoplasty

Non-surgical rhinoplasty can offer a subtle and effective alternative for patients who want to refine the appearance of the nose without surgery.

  • No surgery or general anaesthetic – Treatment is carried out in clinic using injectable dermal filler, without incisions, stitches or general anaesthetic.
  • Immediate visible results – Results are visible straight after treatment, although mild swelling may be present at first. The final result will become clearer as the filler settles.
  • Little to no downtime – Most patients can return to normal activities soon after treatment, although your practitioner will provide aftercare guidance to help reduce the risk of swelling or bruising.
  • Subtle profile refinement – Non-surgical rhinoplasty can help to smooth the appearance of a bump, refine the bridge, improve mild asymmetry or create a more balanced side profile.
  • Tailored to your facial structure – Your treatment will be planned around your nose, profile and overall facial proportions to help ensure the result looks natural and balanced.
  • A reversible treatment option – At The Cosmetic Skin Clinic, we use hyaluronic acid dermal fillers for non-surgical rhinoplasty. These can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if clinically required.
  • Natural-looking results – Our approach is to make small, careful refinements that enhance your features without changing your natural identity.

Patients considering profile balancing may also benefit from a consultation to assess surrounding areas such as the chin, jawline or cheeks, where subtle treatment can sometimes improve overall facial harmony.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty aftercare

Your practitioner will provide full aftercare advice following your treatment.

After non-surgical rhinoplasty, you may experience some mild swelling, tenderness, redness or bruising around the treated area. This is usually temporary and should settle over the following days.

To help support your result and reduce the risk of irritation, you may be advised to:

  • Avoid touching or pressing on the treated area for the first few hours
  • Avoid wearing heavy glasses or sunglasses immediately after treatment, unless advised otherwise
  • Avoid applying makeup to the treated area for around six hours
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms and excessive heat for the first 24 to 48 hours
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours if possible, as this may increase the risk of bruising
  • Follow any specific guidance given by your practitioner

Your practitioner will explain what is normal after treatment and when to contact the clinic if you have any concerns.

Before & Afters

FAQ

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is a specialist injectable treatment used to reshape, smooth or refine the appearance of the nose without surgery.

At The Cosmetic Skin Clinic, this treatment is carried out using hyaluronic acid dermal filler. Small amounts of filler are placed in precise areas of the nose to help improve shape, symmetry and profile.

It can be used to smooth the appearance of a bump, refine the bridge, lift the tip, improve mild asymmetry or create a more balanced-looking nose.

Unlike surgical rhinoplasty, non-surgical rhinoplasty does not involve incisions, general anaesthetic or a long recovery period. Results are visible quickly, although mild swelling may be present at first.

In some cases, yes.

Botox® and anti-wrinkle injections may be used alongside dermal filler where muscle movement contributes to a downturned nasal tip. Carefully placed injections can help to relax this movement and may support a subtle lifting effect.

This approach is not suitable for every patient. Your practitioner will assess your anatomy and advise whether dermal filler alone or a combination treatment would be most appropriate.

A Non-Surgical Nose Job procedure using hyaluronic acid filler injections can treat a number of misshapen nose concerns as follows:

  • Straighten a slightly crooked nose
  • Straighten a hooked nose
  • Create a nose tip
  • Correct a nose bump
  • Correct asymmetric noses
  • Build up a small nose and/or give more height and definition
  • Smooth a mild to moderate bump on the nose bridge
  • Straighten out a mild to moderate nasal tip droop
  • Refine a nose after a surgical rhinoplasty operation

You should be able to spot an immediate difference to the shape of your nose.

Dermal fillers are not permanent and will break down over time (approximately 9-12 months depending on the area treated is realistic), so further treatment may be required to maintain your desired appearance.

We always recommend a subtle approach to create a natural looking reshaped nose. You can always build on the effect with subsequent top up treatments, which will be tailored at every visit so that the desired nose shape is achieved in a soft and subtle way. Your medical practitioner will give you all the advice you need.

It is completely understandable to feel cautious about non-surgical rhinoplasty. The nose is a delicate treatment area, and patient safety should always come first.

At The Cosmetic Skin Clinic, non-surgical rhinoplasty is carried out by experienced medical practitioners with advanced knowledge of facial anatomy and safe injection technique. Your practitioner will assess your nose, skin, medical history and treatment goals carefully before recommending whether treatment is suitable.

We use hyaluronic acid dermal fillers for non-surgical rhinoplasty. These are naturally biodegradable and can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if clinically required. This is one of the reasons hyaluronic acid fillers are commonly used for this type of treatment.

Your practitioner will explain the procedure, expected results, possible risks and aftercare in detail before treatment. They will also advise when non-surgical rhinoplasty is not appropriate and whether a surgical opinion may be more suitable.

The Cosmetic Skin Clinic follows a medically led approach, with treatment plans recommended only where there is a clear indication and where your practitioner believes it can be carried out safely and appropriately.

Our aim is to help you feel fully informed, reassured and confident that you are in expert, medically qualified hands.

A nose reshaping treatment usually takes approximately 30 minutes. There is little or no downtime and you can resume normal activities right away.

There is no need for allergy testing because the fillers contain hyaluronic acid which naturally occurs in your skin anyway and is used in other medical treatments. If there is a little light swelling, you can easily camouflage it with makeup, though should avoid doing so or touching the treated area for six hours to avoid infection.

Many people find their procedure at The Cosmetic Skin Clinic more comfortable than expected, and most dermal fillers contain a local anaesthetic. Our medical practitioners are highly skilled and precise; you should merely feel a light sting on your skin during the injection procedure.
