Lift and firm the breasts with natural-looking, long-lasting results without surgery
A PDO Breast Thread Lift is a revolutionary, non-surgical treatment designed to gently lift and tighten the breasts using polydioxanone (PDO) threads. Suitable for women with mild to moderate breast laxity (typically up to a D cup), this advanced technique stimulates collagen production and repositions tissue to restore a more youthful shape and firmness.
It is an ideal option for those experiencing sagging due to ageing, post-pregnancy changes, breastfeeding, or weight loss, and who wish to avoid traditional surgery, scarring, or downtime.
PDO Breast Thread Lift treatment is available at our clinics in London Harley Street, Bournemouth and Lymington.

After a full clinical assessment, your practitioner will numb the area with local anaesthetic. PDO threads are then inserted beneath the skin using a fine cannula. A typical treatment involves around 20–25 threads per breast.
The procedure is quick (typically under an hour) and performed under sterile conditions. Breasts are taped and supported post-treatment. You may experience minor bruising or swelling for up to 7–10 days.

The PDO Breast Thread Lift is suitable for patients up to a D cup who do not have severe ptosis (downward facing nipples). A thorough consultation and breast examination is carried out prior to treatment to ensure suitability and safety.
Contraindications include pregnancy or breastfeeding, previous or current breast cancer, bleeding disorders or body dysmorphia.
In a recent case study at The Cosmetic Skin Clinic, a patient with mild breast laxity achieved a noticeable lift of approximately 1cm following a PDO Breast Thread Lift performed by Dr Charlotte Woodward and Dr Victoria Manning. The patient reported that her breasts felt fuller and appeared more youthful, with visible improvement developing over the first 2–3 months. Redness at the thread entry points resolved within a few hours, and with light aftercare including taping and wearing a supportive sports bra, she was able to return to daily activities without interruption.
You can expect an immediate improvement in breast lift and firmness, with continued improvement over the following 2–3 months as collagen builds. Results can last up to two years. There is no restriction on daily activities post-treatment, but you should avoid strenuous exercise or pressure on the chest area during recovery.
