Daily Mail Nip & Tuck – Can I Make My Nose Look Smaller?

The Daily Mail Nip & Tuck 10th April 2017

The Nip & Tuck articles by Dr Tracy Mountford appear weekly, in print and online in the Monday ‘Inspire’ section. In this week’s column, a reader asks how they can make their nose look smaller without surgery:

Can I make my nose look smaller?

As we age, the nose can appear to be getting bigger and it may also tip down or widen. But this is not actually because your nose is growing. It is because the deep supporting structures of the face are altering. This happens naturally as we age.

Along with this, our gums naturally recede and we also lose facial fat, which can make the nose appear bigger and more prominent. This can be addressed, non-surgically, by restoring lost volume and support in the face, by injecting fillers. The face will look less tired, lifted and more attractive. The nose will also seem smaller and more in proportion. A very skilled cosmetic doctor will also be able to inject filler just under the tip of the nose so it no longer droops.

Is my nose really getting bigger? a reader asks
