I have just undergone a lip hydration at The Cosmetic Skin Clinic with Restylane Vital Light. It looks incredible, a bit like someone has turned the clock back 20 years and given me my smoother, plumper lips back. This is not a lip enhancement. A Smile can speak a thousand words!
Juvéderm® ULTRA SMILE: the first hyaluronic acid dermal lip filler with lidocaine, specifically designed for lips, were the title sponsors for an interesting event on April 27th for the CEWUK at The Avenue restaurant in London. With the expert help of Dr. Tracy Mountford of The Cosmetic Skin Clinic, they learnt all about the advances in lip enhancement techniques and how to avoid the dreaded “trout pout.”
We are all familiar with the saying “A smile can speak a thousand words”.
A person will smile simply to look happy or friendly, but many will also admit to using a winning smile to get ahead at work or attract a partner.The Daily Mail (March 3rd) ran a headline “Want to seduce a man? Smile at him 35 times every hour”. Highly improbable – or is it?
Allergan, the makers of the Juvéderm® range of dermal fillers, recently conducted a European SMILE survey which turned up some fascinating findings. *Lip shrinkage begins between the ages of 30 and 40 •Recent Unilever* study revealed that women who have full, firm lips look much younger than they really are:

Why do we lavish attention, money and anti ageing treatments on our face and forget the rest? Restylane Vital provides deep dermal hydration and moisturises from within to improve skin elasticity and skin smoothness. This keeps our skin looking plump and hydrated and so diminishes the appearance of fine crêpey lines caused by sun damage. Restylane Vital is a smooth, pure crystal clear hyaluronic acid (HA) gel which is injected into the skin to replenish the skin’s own HA which attracts water in the skin and plays an important part in the skin’s hydration.
Reccomendation is an initial course of 2 to 3, approximately 2-3 weeks apart. Because Restylane Vital releases hyaluronic acid gradually over a period of time, the benefits of this treatment generally last for approx 6months, once you have finished a course your hands can easily be maintained by a repeat top up treatment once or twice a year.
