Body Shapers – Lose Your Love Handles With CoolSculpting

Feeling the love with CoolSculpting – Say Goodbye To Your Love Handles!

In this month’s Tatler, the fat-freezing treatment, CoolSculpting, is put through its paces under the expert eye of our very own Ria Murch. When treating areas such as love handles, CoolSculpting’s CoolAdvantage applicators are able to balance the silhouette and halve treatment time. Looking like ‘two jaws attached to a freezer’, CoolSculpting works best when fat is ‘grabbable’. Love handles are an excellent target because they are fleshy.

How does CoolSculpting work?

CoolSculpting safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells beneath the skin. These treated cells crystallise (freeze) then shrivel and die over the coming weeks; your body metabolises them and simply disposes of them naturally.

Prior to treatment, you will undergo a thorough consultation where your practitioner will discuss everything in detail, looking at your whole body and at your specific areas of concern. Once a full assessment has been made, they will then make recommendations for treatment.

The area or areas to be treated are marked by the practitioner. A gel pad and applicator is then applied to the area or areas to be treated. Fat is suctioned into the devices, which cools to -11 degrees, staying this way for the duration of the procedure. The cooling process numbs the area after a few minutes and you will experience a firm pulling sensation on the specific fat being treated. Once the applicator has been removed, the treated area will then be massaged to further help with the breakdown of the crystallised cells.

Results are visible from 3-12 weeks of treatment.
