Curious about the CoolSculpting process? A brief guide by our team at The Cosmetic Skin Clinic

If you have seemingly tried everything to get rid of stubborn body fat to no avail, you may think that the only option left is going to be, well, a bit clinically invasive.

As the cosmetic market grows and new ways of removing fat are becoming popular in this industry, it can be hard to choose an option that will be painless and, most importantly, leave you with a fresh, sculpted look.

Luckily, there is an option to remove fat naturally, and painlessly, without any nasty side effects or invasive treatments. Approved by the FDA in 2010, this process uses an applicator to freeze subcutaneous fat cells under the surface of the skin, killing them, so your body can remove them gradually, meaning no sagging skin, no stretch marks and no recovery time.

At The Cosmetic Skin Clinic, our team is the leading authority on this process in the UK and western Europe, so when you come to us, you truly are getting the best. Called CoolSculpting in Buckinghamshire, we can help you to remove stubborn areas of fat from your hips, thighs, neck, abdomen, and arms, leaving you with a more toned and sculpted look!

Want to know more about how our team achieves this? Here, we offer a brief guide to how we perform CoolSculpting in Buckinghamshire.

Consultation

While CoolSculpting in Buckinghamshire is a simple procedure, it is not for everyone.

When you come to see our team at The Cosmetic Skin Clinic, we will ask you a series of questions in relation to your health, medication, and your general lifestyle.

We will ask you which areas of stubborn fat you want to have removed and will determine  whether you will need one or multiple areas treated.

The procedure

On the day of the treatment, our team will place a gel pad on the area that they are about to treat.

Once the gel pad is in place, they will then place an applicator that houses the cooling plates over the gel pad to suction in the area being treated. This then applies the controlled cooling to the area, freezing and disposing of the fat cells. This device looks like a hollow cup of various sizes specifically designed to treat various areas of fat around the body they are targeting. Depending on how much fat you want to remove, or the size of the area, this can take approx 35 minutes and you will feel some pinching.

At The Cosmetic Skin Clinic, we are able to offer DualSculpting, meaning you can have two areas of fat removed at once, eliminating the need for a longer amount of time spent in the clinic.

Aftercare

There is little to no downtime after the treatment is completed, and you will be able to go about your day as you normally would.

There could potentially be some redness and swelling to the treatment area for up to 48 hours afterward, but this should fade. You may also experience some bruising, but this will only be temporary.

You should start to see initial results within the first 3-4 weeks, but as this treatment uses your body’s lymphatic system to remove fat, the optimum results are seen at 8-12 weeks and can go on working upto 6 months.
