What is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is a skin lifting treatment, and it is primarily designed to help lift skin around the neck, the brow, the chin and the décolletage (the lower neckline). It uses a form of ultrasound known as micro-focused ultrasound in order to work. The use of micro-focused ultrasound is a large part of the reason that surgery is not required for this procedure. Ultherapy is unique, as at the time of writing it is the only non-surgical cosmetic procedure which utilises ultrasound in this way. Furthermore, this procedure allows your Ultherapy practitioner to look beneath the skin and see the layers of tissue that they and you wish to target to be lifted. This usually results in very effective results from the treatment, including a more sculpted jawline and cheekbones appearing more lifted.

How does it work?

As mentioned above, Ultherapy uses micro-focused ultrasound (sometimes abbreviated to MFU-V). Ultherapy’s use of micro-focused ultrasound allows it to generate a thermal effect underneath the skin, and does not require any invasive procedure to take place. This thermal effect stimulates your body into producing more collagen and elastin, both of which are very important for your skin to maintain both its tightness and elasticity. Over time, the existing collagen and elastin in your body can become damaged and depleted, and this is a natural process which happens to all of us. Ultherapy is designed to help replenish this collagen and elastin, and thus restore a fresh level of structure to your skin.

So, if you wish to have more elasticity and more of a tight structure in your skin, and would prefer a non-surgical treatment, then consider getting Ultherapy in London at The Cosmetic Skin Clinic.
