How does Body Jet work?

Using the Body-Jet our physician can simultaneously introduce gentle pulses of fluid into the body with a fan shaped water-jet into the fatty tissue dislodging the fat and removing the fat through a cannula. As a result the fat loses its structure and is released. This procedure is gentle, fast and effective. The infiltration fluid carries an analgesic for pain and a vasoconstrictor to minimise bruising. In this treatment local anaesthetic is continually applied to the exact site of treatment throughout the procedure along with the irrigation solution. As a result the patient experiences significantly less swelling in the treatment area, making it easier for the surgeon to assess treatments results during the procedure. This contributes significantly to surgical accuracy and precision of the outcome.

What are the risks?

Compared with conventional liposuction methods, water assisted liposuction removes fat with much less force and a significantly lower risk of side effects. With other methods the irrigation solution must remain in the body for a certain period of time in order to take effect. This waiting period is minimised with water-jet assisted liposuction, significantly reducing overall treatment time.
