Excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis) affects both men and women and can be an embarrassing and an extremely distressing problem. With the summer around the corner you may start feeling a little anxious that it will get much worse! What Causes Excessive Sweating?
Your body temperature is naturally cooled via the sympathetic nervous system through sweating, but for hyperhidrosis sufferers this temperature control mechanism is exaggerated meaning that you may sweat more than others. The most common body areas affected are the underarms, palms of the hands, soles of the feet, as well as the face and chest. it can be treated by injecting a small amount of Botox into your sweat glands, using micro injections that are administered just under the skin of each underarm which block the nerves that control the sweat glands.
