You could be suffering from ‘Hyperhidrosis’ which is a disorder of excessive sweating occurring in 3% of the global population. Our patients find this is a socially embarrasing problem which interferes with their daily activities. We have treated many patients for this condition. Excessive sweating commonly affects the underarms, but can also affect the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet.
You don’t have to suffer in silence this summer. If you think you might be suffering from this condition and conventional treatments such as antiperspirants haven’t worked, and you do not relish surgery, you may find that you could be a good candidate for Botox® injections.
Many people are still not aware of the possibility of having underarm Botox® injections to successfully treat this condition. In order to assess your suitability for this treatment, you will need to have a full consultation to exclude other medical conditions which may have contributed to this condition.
The injections are quick and relatively painless, with results lasting from 6 – 9 months. The treatment works by blocking the nerves that supply the sweat glands, which then prevents the glands from producing sweat.
With this safe and quick treatment our patients have been delighted with the results as it leaves them sweat-free, and they no longer have to worry about feeling self conscious and go about their lives in a normal manner without a tell tale sign in sight.
If you would like to find out more about this treatment option please contact our reception team on 01753 646660 who would be very happy to help you.
